Backstory is delighted to welcome Kiran Desai for a special, intimate book club–style encounter, on the occasion of the Spanish publication of her new novel The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny (La soledad de Sonia y Sunny, translated by Aurora Echevarría, Salamandra / Penguin Random House), to be released on February 12.
This event is conceived as a shared conversation between readers and the author — a quiet, reflective space for questions, dialogue, and close engagement with the novel. Rather than a formal presentation, the evening invites participants to interact directly with Kiran Desai in an atmosphere that is thoughtful, literary, and deeply human.
About the Author
