About the event
This month we will be reading: The Myth of Sisyphus (1942), by Albert Camus, and a short piece by David Foster Wallace, “The Planet Trillaphon as It Stands in Relation to the Bad Thing" (1984)
This book club approaches foundational texts that have shaped the past three centuries through a cross-disciplinary reading series that invites us to engage with the questions of our present. Each session pairs one of these works with a strictly contemporary text (as an optional reading), creating a dialogue in which the past becomes a lens for thinking the present, and vice versa. No academic background is required; curiosity and openness are all you need.
