For centuries, women have been taught to be good — agreeable, productive, selfless, and likable — often at the cost of visibility, rest, and personal freedom.

Inspired by Elise Loehnen’s On Our Best Behavior, this in-person experiential event explores two of the most misunderstood “sins” for women: Pride and Sloth. Together, we’ll look at how the fear of being seen and the guilt around rest are not personal failures, but learned patterns shaped by culture, history, and expectation.

Through guided reflection, journaling, and gentle, powerful meditation, participants are invited to reconnect with confidence without apology and rest without shame.

Facilitated by Carmen Amrit, therapist and contributing author to Connections, this morning offers a grounded, embodied space to pause, reflect, and experience what it truly feels like to move from being “good” to being free.
