About the event
As part of our Mercè Rodoreda Book Club Series (January–May) at Backstory Bookshop, we will gather for a guided visit in English to the exhibition Rodoreda, a forest at the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona).
Over the past months, our book club has brought together an international community of readers discovering the work of Mercè Rodoreda through English translations, alongside translators and scholars who have helped bring her writing to readers around the world.
In April, we will visit the exhibition together to deepen our understanding of Rodoreda’s literary universe and the themes we have been discussing throughout the series. The visit will offer an opportunity to encounter her work through manuscripts, artworks, audiovisual pieces, and archival materials that illuminate the richness and complexity of her imagination.
