Reflections - A Journey from the Camera Lens to the Page

Word and Image come together in this 90 minute, hands-on workshop which delves into the inspiration behind the image in a photograph that compels a surprising narrative. The picture gives a hint at what’s to come—it entices, it provokes, it whispers to the observer to think critically, feel intuitively. By the time the writer has stepped in, the photographer’s promptings have come into full play—whatever was lingering between the lines in the picture are now a story to invite the observer in more deeply. Participants will critically analyze photographs for technique and style and create image narratives and short stories from examples brought in.
