About the event
We’re delighted to introduce Backstory’s Special Storytime Series — a monthly themed storytime designed to bring families together around books, language, and imagination.
Taking place on the first Saturday of each month, these sessions offer a warm, playful space where children can enjoy stories read aloud, explore new ideas, and connect through shared reading. Each month will focus on a gentle theme — from seasons and colours to emotions and friendship — using carefully selected picture books to spark curiosity, conversation, and joy.
This special storytime will focus on identifying and naming emotions as well as problem-solving. It will encourage development of emotion recognition and what we can do with emotions.
These sessions are designed to feel relaxed and welcoming, encouraging families to slow down, enjoy stories together, and nurture a love of books from an early age.
