From Oct 8 to Nov 12, Rising Voices Collective will be hosting a six-part workshop for 11- to 14-year-olds at Backstory. Do you want to share stories that matter?

In this 6-part workshop series — Stories Alive! — we'll explore storytelling through theater games and creative writing activities.

Inspired by real and imagined stories, you’ll craft and perform your own narratives using performance techniques and multimedia elements. In our final session on November 12th, we'll make our stories come alive in a multi-media performance showcase at Backstory Bookshop.

Meets every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8pm, Oct. 8 to Nov 12. Because the workshop builds on itself over the six weeks — with each week's activities building on the last — students should be able to attend all six sessions.

This workshop is brought to you by “Rising Voices Collective," an organization run by two experienced international school educators, Ian Oxlade and Tracy Climent-Abramson, with a mission to make media that matters. Ian is a director of Theater Programs, and Tracy is a social studies and literacy teacher with a passion for social justice.
