About the event
Backstory’s Story Squad! is our book club for young readers — a space to discover incredible stories, share ideas, and nurture a lifelong love of reading. Led by a mom-and-daughter duo, each session is about celebrating books together in a fun and welcoming way.
This October, we have something truly special: the author of our chosen book will be joining us in person!
We’ll be reading Rune: The Tale of a Thousand Faces and then welcoming Barcelona-based illustrator and graphic novelist Carlos Sánchez to our Story Squad! discussion. Kids will get the chance to ask him questions, hear how he brings his characters and worlds to life, and share their own thoughts directly with the author.
